I am a graphic artist and have mainly working on newspaper infographics and photomontage for the last 16 years.
Prior to this I played in a number of rock bands and illustrated and cartooned. I was designing posters for various music events around Edinburgh in the 80s and 90s and I was involved with comic titles "Fish Supper" and "SWIZ" in the early 90s.
I was a music worker with the Craigmillar Festival Society in the mid 80s and had the privilege to work with Scottish songwriter Michael Marra, who was musical director, on a couple of community musicals which were staged during the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
I played lead guitar with the almost legendary Tex Fillet Five and later bass alongside friend and guitar player Keith MacKay in the band LD50 (previously Dear John). Sadly Keith died in 1995.
I have recently begun to illustrate again and hope to include a collection of illustrations and other work on myebook.com soon.
I also still play guitar enthusiastically though not so much live these days and spend a lot of time composing music on a PC ... when I am not watching Lost or Heroes or other diverting TV programmes and movies.
