As a grandchild of a German MdB (MP) and the son of a trade-union Chairman it was inevitable that my life would be dominated by politics from the start.
My first taste for business came during my university studies. I sold some board games to a publishing house and later became an entrepreneur founding my own publishing house. After well and truly being bitten by the business bug I opened up shops and a wholesale company for board games which I ran for about 6-7 years.
Throughout this time I never lost sight of my political roots and often intermingled politics with my businesses. Today I have taken this further and brought public affairs consultancy to the marketplace. However not only do I consult businesses in the 'politics way' I also assist politicians in communication and organisation/structure management.
Over the years I have gained a vast amount of experience in creating effective organisations (both profit and non-profit), virtual companies and business co-operations. I have been self employed since 1993 taking a leading role in about 10 companies across various industries.
My interest lies in connecting businesses together enabling the creation of a common goal so they can share resources and cross boundaries (such as geography or industry sectors) that once proved restrictive.
