[Review of Uncle Tickle from Amateur Comics Guild] This is a back to basic horror comic harking back to the days when all the best serial killers stalked the American landscape. The story begins with two friends looking at a shitty old house and telling each other scare stories of who they think lives there. This begins the back story of child killer Uncle Tickle. The dialogue is sharp, snappy and runs along nicely. The Jones boys have done a nice turn in creating a nicely rounded story that is simple but very enjoyable. Jag Lall’s “scratchy” artwork sets up the feel and soul of the comic and draws you into that world.. Overall this is a good attempt from the lads and I’d be happy to read more

[Collections: 1 review from Comics Related] Unico Comics and the Amateur Comics Guild combined forces to produce this collection of diverse comic stories. Their mission is to provide a venue for new talent to show their work through their website, shop, and convention sales. The group is soliciting new contributors for their fourth issue.Fallen Hero is an action/hero tale that gets the first issue off to a nice start. Michael Burness and Johnnie Iley make a good team writing and drawing the opening eight-page segment of an origin story about a costumed hero. Confession of the Trade by David Wallace

BIRMINGHAM MAIL
Paul Birch at the The Birmingham Mail has run a bit about us. "Among its titles, Unico Publishing currently has Collections out. This 110 pages annual contains some colour interior pages and should prove an interesting Christmas present"
