Mr. Pinto is the founder of Jorge Pinto Books Inc. (http://pintobooks.com) a niche, international multicultural publishing house based in New York.
Jorge Pinto Books has already established strategic partnerships with several authors, artists, editors, designers, and other experienced specialists in distribution and marketing to niche markets.

He also has a bimonthly column Business and Books at the Financial Section of El Universal, a leading Mexican daily.
He has given lectures and news interviews for CNN, Bloomberg TV and radio, Univisión, NPR, and other media on many issues related to the Global economy, corporate governance, and entrepreneurial trends.
Prior to starting his own company was the founder of the Center for Global Finance a think-tank at Pace University in New York, Ambassador Pinto was the Mexican Consul General in New York where he developed the first Mexican Government Web page in 1995.
As undersecretary for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Pinto was Chief Mexican negotiator for the Summit of the Americas in 1994 (ratified by Hemisphere Heads of State). Mr. Pinto served as Mexican Ambassador to Sweden and six years as Deputy Chief of Mission in the Mexican Embassy in Washington
Mr. Pinto was Executive Director at the Board of the World Bank representing Mexico, Spain, Venezuela and the Central American countries and was the Chairman of Personnel and Vice-Chairman of Finance Committees of that Board.
He was the Representative for Europe for Nafinsa, Mexico’s National Development Bank based in London negotiating commercial bank loans and Eurobonds. Also supported the launch of Mexico Fund (first Mexican closed-end fund) and arrange the upgrade of Nafinsa’s London office from a representative office to a full branch.
Mr. Pinto participates regularly in the World Economic Forum regional events in Asia and is currently a member of the Board of Trustees of El Museo del Barrio in New York, member of the Board of Aperture Foundation of photography and member of the Editorial Board of Americas Quarterly the magazine of the Council of the Americas in New York.
