An Uneventful Soldier - Revision2

A factual account of British Army service during that time we now sometimes recall as the “swinging 60’s”, they were strange formative years for me, my teenage years between the autumn of 1961 to the late summer of 1968 where talk of “purple hearts”, the pill, the Hippies, the Anti-War movement, riots at the US Embassy in London and numerous British military actions in various places around the world that were the news of the decade, this was my small part in it all. This is a personal story, a story of an uneventful soldier’s life, covering nine uneventful years until my discharge from the army in 1969 and the beginning of my new career as a civilian.

I'm really enjoying this read. Well written, full of interest and humor. As an army lad myself I can really identify with the stories.
